Hello friends! Today I would like to introduce you to our guest designer Helen Tilbury. Helen does amazing work and was the winner for LESSology Challenge #19: Mirror, mirror on the wall. Let's meet her shall we?

Hi everyone!  I am totally STOKED to be invited to LESSology as a Guest Designer this month!!  Thank you SO much LERSSology girls!  I can’t wait to see what everyone will create & look forward to visiting your blogs & checking out what I’m already sure will be awesome creations J

My name is Helen Tilbury & I discovered scrapbooking quite by accident 10 years ago.  I’ve been at it on and off ever since & have been blogging about it for over 4 years now & been on many different design teams & had layouts published in magazines in Australia, America & England. This year I’m working for a few design teams, namely ‘My Creative Scrapbook’ Kit Club in America, and ‘Scrapmatts’ Chipboard Company in Australia, and Purple Pumpkin embellishment company, also in Australia.

You can find my blog at http://helentilbury.blogspot.com under the name of SCRAP ADDICT.  I call myself that because I do love to scrap, although time does not permit me to scrap as often as I would like this year unfortunately.

I am married to that cute guy in the photo {and have been for a very long time!} & together we have 4 awesome kids & a few sweet furballs in our family.  We live in Durban, South Africa, where it is really hot & humid but air-conditioning is my best friend J

As well as scrapbooking I like taking photos (well they go hand in hand really...) am a Picasa (free editing software) lover, adore cats & monkeys {strange combo but here we have a huge Vervet Monkey population & they are regular visitors to my home & the sweetest creatures ever}.

I love watching movies, reading magazines and organizing.  Yup I am a storage & container addict & everything in our home is labelled & categorized!’

Eye-catching with loads of graphic details and amazing textures, don't you think? Please leave a little love for our guest Helen!

LESSology Challenge #23: Creative Inspiration of Linda Lapotka

 photo Challenge-23-Whatsinyourtoolbox-Design-Team-projects_zps0e6d5733.jpg

Working hard on your LESSology Challenge #23: What's in your toolbox? challenge? How about checking out what design team member Linda Lapotka has up her sleeve?

Oh boy I love this challenge!  Nothing better than a toolbox to find great goodies to add to your art.
I found some metal washers. eye hooks and twine that I decided to use.

I used alcohol ink to color the metal washers.

I used my DYI gelli plate to make some paper and to paint the box.
Then I did some stamping.

I glued the washers and the eye hooks to the top of the box.
You can see just how this all came together by watching this video.

Now go get out that toolbox and create some art.
Happy crafting!

Awesome project Linda! Inspired? Let's see your take on LESSology Challenge #23: What's in your toolbox?

 Hi everyone!

Julie here and I am sharing my take on this month's toolbox challenge!!

I used a lot of things out of the toolbox :)

-- Spray Paint
-- Drill
-- Drill bits
-- Hammer
-- Cupboard/Drawer handles
-- Sandpaper

My friend from work gave my daughter Brookie a cradle that belonged to her as a child -- so I would guess it is close to 50 - 55 years old :)

Here is what it looked like when my co-worker gave it to me :)

First, I sanded it down, then I spray painted it pink -- and then I took a hexagon mask and a chevron mask and used burgundy spray paint to add the masking :)

(I used the hammer to put the sides in tighter -- and I used the drill and drill bits to add a hole at the end of each side of the cradle to add the cupboard/drawer handles)

And here is what I turned it into -- (I added my daughter's doll for effect! LOL!)

The cupboard/drawer handle is the heart piece here :)

Can't wait to see what you all make for this challenge!! ~~Julie

Hey .....its me Lynnda...And
Today it's my turn over @LESSology Challenge #23: What's in your toolbox?
This time ...we want you to use something from your toolbox on your projects....It could be screws, washers...or anything interesting you can find... isn't it FUN!!! Think out of the box!!!....

For me... the first thing I spot in my toolbox is ....my used sandpaper!!!!....I like the rough and glittery texture!!!... perfect for the choice of PP I used on my layout.... soft and pastel... Don't you agree?
The Used SandPaper:
I used my Martha Stewart Puncher to beautify the sand paper....

Here is my interpretation: Can you spot the used sandpaper???

Can't wait to see what everyone will create.... woohoo...JOIN US...

There are so many things you can use from your toolbox as these ladies have shown. We would love to see your projects for LESSology Challenge #23: What's in your toolbox?

moulding gel, alcohol ink, glimmer mist and old text paper, now let the fun begin......

more fun........

Dig into those toolboxes of yours your husband's and join in the fun!

Some texture paste to hold all the found stuff...tab pulls, screws, charms, beads...
